Healthy, even skin photographs beautifully — and a lot of that comes down to the days before your session, not just the morning of. Here's a simple routine to prep your skin.
- Hydrate. Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to keep your skin plump and fresh.
- Exfoliate gently. A mild scrub or chemical exfoliant clears dead skin for a smooth complexion — just don't overdo it, which can cause redness.
- Moisturize. Keep skin nourished with a good moisturizer suited to your skin type.
- Sleep. Aim for seven to nine hours to minimize under-eye circles and puffiness.
- Ease off alcohol and caffeine. Both can dehydrate your skin and leave it looking dull.
- Don't try anything new. Skip brand-new products or treatments right before — no surprises the day of.
- Consider a facial. If time and budget allow, a facial a few days out can brighten and revitalize.
A little prep goes a long way toward looking your best and feeling confident on camera. Book your session and I'll help with the rest.
